Cinema Forecast Week 22, 2013

The Great Gatsby

Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio). He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.

This trailer promises a lot and it brings up the question, will it be any good? Director Baz Luhrmann has had some hits and misses in the past and with such a quintessential American tale will it do the book (or even the Robert Redford film) justice? I’ll definitely be seeing it, no doubt the costuming and cinematography will be fantastic, lets hope it’s well rounded.

A Hunted House

A young couple, Malcolm and Kisha, move in together and start to realize there is paranormal activity roaming the house as they also try to keep their relationship on track.

One Mile Above

Based on an incredible true story of courage and endurance, “1 Mile Above” depicts a young man’s cycling journey to the highest point in Tibet to fulfil his brother’s final wish.

Looks very inspirational. If you are in to that and don’t mind subtitles, go for it.

Everybody Has a Plan

Crime drama starring Viggo Mortensen as Agustin, a man who assumes the identity of his recently deceased identical twin brother.

An interesting looking film, Viggo speaking Spanish very nicely. Could be more thrilling than the trailer entails.

All these films will be in Cinemas from Thursday, 30th May.
